Newmarket Rugby Club is honoured and grateful that Graham Ellis has agreed to present the awards at the forthcoming end of season celebration for our Minis section. Graham made his international debut for Scotland against Wales at Murryfield in Jan 1997. He went on to play all four games in the 1997 Five Nations Championship.
Following his international playing career, Graham then pursued his passion for teaching and is currently the Headmaster for Brookes UK in Risby near Bury St Edmunds. COVID lockdowns have interrupted all grassroots rugby, impacting the young players ability to train and compete in a sport they love. Therefore it is fantastic that the players have the opportunity to receive awards from an internationally capped player and will hopefully inspire the players to stretch their dreams and maybe even pull on a national shirt one day themselves.
